A Home to Heal

Support Our Tiny Home Project with Sheltered by Grace

Sheltered by Grace is thrilled to announce the launch of our Tiny Home Project! This project is particularly close to our hearts. This initiative, made possible by a generous grant from Lend Lease, will provide a safe and secure haven for individuals who have experienced homelessness or domestic violence. This beautifully designed tiny home will provide a secure and comfortable space for an individual transitioning away from homelessness or domestic violence. It'll offer a chance to rest, recover, and focus on the future.

Sheltered by Grace will provide ongoing support through community programs and dedicated case management, ensuring the individual has the resources needed to thrive.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors,
Lend Lease, Trimax International, Acqualogical, and Bonafide Building Approvals. Their generosity has made this project a reality, and together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those seeking refuge.

Are you passionate about helping those in need? We'd love your support! Whether you'd like to learn more about our Tiny Home projects or become our corporate sponsor, we encourage you to contact Sheltered by Grace today.

Our Vision

A future where everyone in Brisbane has a safe and stable place to call home, regardless of their circumstances.

Our Mission

Through innovative projects like the Tiny Home initiative, we empower vulnerable individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope, providing them with the resources and support needed for lasting change.

Empowering a Fresh Start with Essential Skills

Future Tiny Home Projects

Our Tiny Home projects aim to provide safe, stable and supportive housing for vulnerable demographics, addressing both immediate shelter needs and longer-term recovery and empowerment.

Our Tiny Homes will be built on the grounds of Sheltered by Grace, integrating seamlessly with our existing rooms and programs and each home will be equipped with its own bathroom and kitchenette, providing residents with privacy and independence while benefitting from the community support and resources available at Sheltered by Grace including case management and 24/7 onsite support.

The primary beneficiaries will be people over 55 who are at risk or have experienced domestic violence. These people face unique challenges, including limited financial resources, health issues, and social isolation. By providing secure housing, Sheltered by Grace will create a foundation for recovery and a new beginning.

Through this program, residents will have access to workshops and support services that teach practical skills like budgeting, cooking, and maintaining a home. It's about giving people the confidence and skills they need to live independently and thrive.

You can help us make a difference. We invite individuals and companies to sponsor a project like our Life Skills 101 program or consider supporting the construction of our tiny homes. Your contribution directly impacts the lives of vulnerable people over 55 in Brisbane, giving them the tools and the environment they need to move forward with confidence and dignity.

Expected Outcomes are:

  • Immediate Safety and Stability: Providing a secure and supportive environment for people to escape domestic violence and begin the healing process.
  • Enhanced Recovery and Independence: Facilitating access to comprehensive rehabilitation and life skills programs, empowering residents to rebuild their lives.
  • Community Integration: Encouraging participation in peer support programs, promoting community engagement, and reducing social isolation.
  • Long-term Wellbeing: Supporting sustained recovery and personal development, enabling residents to achieve lasting stability and independence.

By combining safe housing with holistic support services, Sheltered by Grace aims to transform the lives of vulnerable people, fostering resilience and self-sufficiency. This project not only addresses immediate needs but also contributes to long-term positive outcomes for individuals and the broader community.
